2004-08-12 - 10:21 a.m. I think the theme of this summer is: verucaamish doesn't update much does he? So here's another update. It's one of those bread and butter what's going on in my life kinds. I've noticed I don't do that much. When I do, I'm pretty self- conscious about it. This summer has been crazy for both me and mr. activision. Between his committee meetings and my three rehearsals a week, we haven't had much rest. Luckily that will change this weekend when my show ends and his summer camp ends. Next weekend we are going to the in-laws for a little R&R, althought I know MIL has tons of stuff planned for us. You know who I am missing right now? Tom Obsorne. We haven't seen eye to eye on every issue but I love reading his entries. They are so different from mine but similar in the values we share. This has been the summer of fruit for me. over two weekends I picked something like 20 pouinds of fruit. As a result I made about 13 spaghetti jars full of blackberry jam. Mmmm... I've also been loving the tomatoes in my garden. There haven't been many but my god the ones that came up taste like heaven. I mean even better than from the FARMER'S MARKET. They taste of summer in the same way ripe peaches taste of summer, full of flavor, juicy and sweet. I've been slicing them up and making mozarella and tomato sandwiches topping with a sprinkling of fresh basil of the garden. I need to think of more recipes that include rosemary and/or thyme. The garden is overflowing iwth that. I haven't made roast chicken in a while... Yes I'm rambling. I just havent had the focus to do a true blue entry. Stay with me folks, inspiration will come soon
