2004-03-08 - 1:15 p.m. Satellite TV watch Day 12 – verucaamish under siege Thank god for arts and crafts. It’s day 12 without any kind of tv (our tv’s come cable ready and don’t have antennae). The stupid satellite tv somehow came without the receiver so the satellite people can’t install our satellite. That means no BBCAmerica, no TLC, no cartoonnetwork, no NETWORK channels. Thank god I have hobbies and DVDs because I would go crazy not having TV without them. At the end of the day, you want your entertainment spoon fed to you. Sarafem and %*^& are staying with us. I feel bad because I’ve been tired from the move and have had various social things to do so I’m not really able to show them around. I literally took a nap around 7:30 last night and woke up around 9:45 and then went back to bed at 11:00pm. They’re smart ladies and know how to have a good time on their own. And no, their drunken behavior went completely unnoticed by me. I snore like a chainsaw so mere drunkeness wouldn’t wake me. Glad to hear you had a good time. F%x and H#unds are kind of known for their strong drinks. Sorry. So what have I been doing in absence of tv? Quilting for one. I finished Baby Lancaster’s quilt and am making a lot of progress on the kimono quilt I am doing for my sister. Of course the craziness of not having tv is balanced by the seeds that are quickly sprouting into plants on my windowsill. The true benefit of living in the new place is the garden. Already the daffodils and tulips have come up. And now I started seeds for lobelia, sunflowers, delphiniums, foxgloves, forget me nots, heartsease (tri-color viola) and Shasta daisies. The sunflowers, forget-me-nots and Shasta daisies will be going in the backyard while the delphiniums, floxgloves, and heartsease will be going in the shady front yard. I got another seed starter this weekend and will be starting more sunflowers (for the Lancasters), echinachea (backyard), and Indian Summers (backyard).
