2004-09-10 - 10:01 a.m. To all of you chickenshit primary voters who took away my options to vote since it was pretty much decided by South Carolina, "YOU SUCK." Yes i am that mature. Of course I will support Kerry, but this whole campaign of "anyone but Bush" isn't going to win elections. I hate how Kerry really isn't trying to outline a positive policy agenda. Say what you want about my man Dean, he gave specifics and wasn't scared of people. He said in very clear terms that the tax cuts needed to be repealed. He said in clear terms his support for reproductive rights (to the point where he was against parental notification. He put his positions out there and vigorously defended them. And it was about a vision of America. It was about the country we wanted to be. It was about changing the system so that we all had a voice. What the hell is going wrong? WHy can't the Kerry campaign grow a pair? I mean seriously. Why isn't edwards taking the offensive on this trial lawyers crap and start talking about the cases he's defended. Because here's the dirty secret the Republicans don't want out. Trials lawyers defend people against corporations. You want to know how Edwards made his money? He got a $4 million settlement for a family whose daughter HAD HER INTESTINES SUCKED OUT by a pool drain. Is that shameful? Is that something to hide? How do you as a Republican deride a set of lawyers who are Erin Brockoviching the justice system. I have to hand it to the Republicans that this issue is even in play. Actually I have to slap the Dems on letting it be an easy issue. Speaking of lawsuits and stuff. I hate the fact that doctors are all over this limits on awards for malpractice suits. What the hell makes you think insurance companies will lower their premiums? After all, all that limits on malpractice awards mean is that insurance companies pay less. Unless there's some form of regulation, insurance companies have no obligation to lower their premiums just because they pay less in damages. Why not sure insurance companies over this shit? Why not audit an insurance company to see if it's true that they are raising their premiums because they have to pay more in malpractice awards. Actually what you'll see is that in the states where insurance premiums are going up, the damages they are paying out ARE GOING DOWN. So where the guarantee that will caps on malpractice awards, insurance companies will lower premiums? I'm just feeling frustrated by all of this shit. I just want someone to stand up for my values. Is it just because do-gooders like me don't have money?
