Dear god have I been a delinquent journaler. But there's a good reason I swear. Actually you can take the photographic proof for it because you'll see my handiwork in a minute.

I know this is boring but I have been dilligently working on my 101 list and have another four items knocked off

32. Make a croque en bouche

78. See the Incredibles again

79. Buy the Incredibles on DVD when it comes out

86. Buy a new mattress

and the true kicker...

93. Learn how to do pictures and links on verucaamish

With this newfound skill I am officially launching the quilting journal part of verucaamish. When mr. activision and I were in Amish country, we saw quilting journals where you could keep pictures of the quilts you made. How perfect to start an online quilting journal to share my memories of my quilts. This is in no chronological order, it's simply based on what in my picture folder that I downloaded to flickr.

So to present - Pauline's Kimono quilt

I finished this November 2004. I love making this quilt because the piecing is fairly straightforward and the beauty is really in the harmony of the fabrics. I've made three other kimonos and it's an old standby. I primarly quilted the outlines of the kimonos and quilted some detail in each of the kimonos, from cherry blossoms to cranes, to bamboo.

Here's a detailed picture. Hopefully you can see the quilting.

There will be more to come. Unortunately many quilts I made went to people far away so this won't be a complete journal but as complete as I can make it.

And to show my newfound skill in making links I wanted to do my good deed. And highlight Darn Tootin's fund for his daughter's learning equipment. An incredible journal and well worth being the first link I make on verucaamish.

Schuyler's Fund

Now that I can make links and put up pictures, I swear I won't let twoo weeks go without updating. Of course the downside is this turning into the quilting equivalent of a weight loss blog.
