101 in 1001 I've always had the theory of if you tell someone else that oyu will do something, it'll happen. So seeing other online journals do it I've decided to jump on the bandwagon of getting 101 things done in 1001 days It’s a bit late after the New Year but what the hell – 1. Help pass a state level safe schools bill that includes sexual orientation AND gender identity as a protected category 2. Go to Italy 3. Go on a ski vacation 4. Get my passport 5. Get a driver’s license 6. See D Squared and my lovely nieces and nephews 7. Visit Lady Bountiful in Lafayette 8. Go back to Toronto 9. Run a 10K 10. Run a 10 miler 11. Run a half marathon 12. Run a marathon 13. Join the gay tennis league 14. Read the new Harry Potter when it comes out 15. Be able to read Vietnamese 16. Pay off the in-Laws 17. Pay off one credit card 18. Pay off the other credit card 19. Get pre-approved for a home loan 20. Buy a house 21. Buy a car 22. Make sure there is always salmon, bag o’ lettuce, and shrimp in the fridge 23. Go to Key West 24. Go back to the B&B where mr. Activision proposed 25. Buy the damn sixth season of Sex and the City 26. Go to that damn abs class once a week 27. Adopt a baby 28. Throw a killer 30th birthday for Rootbeer 29. Make that damn falling leaves quilt 30. Finish that even damner turtle quilt 31. Have 10 students in my quilting classes 32. Make a croque en bouche 33. Make a bouche de noel 34. Go to SoCal with mr. Activision and take him to Little Saigon 35. Get married in a state that issues licenses so that the Washington Post can run our marriage announcement 36. Floss once a week (I want this to be ACHEIVEABLE) 37. Have a dinner party with mr. Activision’s co-workers and their friends (they are that much fun) 38. Go to a USFSA or ISU eligible sponsored competition 39. Finish the wedding album 40. Make a baby quilt for the D squared new baby 41. Make Unnae’s two quilts 42. Finish the commissioned quilt 43. Join a quilting bee 44. Start a savings account I don’t take money out of 45. Fix the vacuum cleaner 46. Organize the chorus fundraising stuff 47. Take a break from the chorus 48. Buy new dress shoes 49. Roast a turkey 50. Make Nigella Lawson’s Clementine cake 51. Get a massage 52. See a chiropractor 53. Make Jill’s retirement quilt 54. When house is bought, paint walls 55. Volunteer for a campaign 56. Get a Risk game going 57. Get food article placed in Royce of the Rill 58. See the Indigo Girls 59. Eat Banh Cuon 60. Buy replacement wedding plates for the ones that broke 61. Donate to Bitch magazine 62. Buy a set of champagne glasses 63. Go to the dentist and get my teeth cleaned 64. Get new glasses, preferably the kind with clunky heavy frames that’ll be described as geek chic 65. Eat at Jaleo 66. Make a dish with brussel sprouts or collard greens at least once a month 67. Make corn pudding because that shit is good 68. Make another round of fried chicken 69. Throw out the Bon Appetits I no longer read 70. Go through the two laundry baskets of crap and actually use said baskets for laundry 71. Go to Quaker meeting 72. Volunteer on an FMW committee 73. Put DVDs back in their cases 74. Watch or send back at least three netflix a month 75. Go on a personal retreat that is focused on quiet 76. Make sure to see Beannie, Beatpoet and Baby Bean next time I am in SoCal 77. Send that damn Commission Quilt to the NAMES Project 78. See the Incredibles again 79. Buy the Incredibles on DVD when it comes out (ok really struggling here) 80. Finish decorating my office 81. Make a true blue chicken pot pie 82. Go to Keihls and get a supply of facial products 83. Take Pleather and Leanne to G&M 84. Go back to Pasta Plus 85. Get enough sleep to get rid of the bags under my eyes 86. Buy a new mattress< br>87. Subscribe to Chow magazine 88. Visit Evelyn in Chicago 89. Visit the Bay area 90. Learn to read music 91. Learn how to do foundation piecing 92. Help Pauline finish the butterfly quilt 93. Learn how to do pictures and links on veracaamish 94. Go on another Assateague Island trip 95. Take a cooking class 96. Go to Disney World and stay a the Disney Institute 97. Write an article on the joys of quilting 98. Plant a new crop of tomatoes 99. Plant another rosemary plant in the Lancasters 100. Have frozen berries on hand at all times 101. Smile more!
